I know alot of people are all in to the Historical accuracy of the game. I made a what if mission that would never have happend, and it turned out great.
I used the port of Tampa and Tampa Bay DB85. I made a large german surface Fleet consiting of The Bismark, Tripitz, Graf Spee, The Scarnhorst and Graf Spee. I placed my unit an XXI and the Prince Eugen well ahead of the Task Force. Guarding the apporaches to the Bay was a Soviet Crusier squadron about 3 total, with a BB in support. I had several American Frigates on ASW patrol outside and inside the BAy. I head several American IOwas and neveda class BB inside that were my primary objective, my secondary objective was to elimante the British Carriers.
THis was a great mission to watch hit was virtually a surface action. The Prince Eugen elieminated all the Frigates, and two of the Soviet Crusiers. Ironically The Prince Eugen was the only ship sunk by an auxillary crusier placed in the mouth of the Bay. ( THe prince Eugen was the only major KM surface ship to survuve the war) It was fun for my first creation.

Yup, I've done the same thing. It helped me learn how to use the mission editor way better by making up stuff first, before trying anything serious. I even intentionally tried to make a CORNY mission. It was something like "Sink Boy George" and I placed a riduculas German armadda on a colision course with a small convoy of "Boy George & his friends" I put him on the "Titanic" (the four-stack Cunard Liner) I gave him & his friends an armed escourt and even a few torpedo bombers as protection. I was laughing  as I selected "Sink Boy George" from the single mission list and hit start. What unfolded before my eyes was a massive display of carnage and destruction! :o I never even got a chance of getting anywhere near his convoy, let alone fire a torpedo. Sheesh. :88)

some years ago, I came up with the idea, to create a non historical mission, having another outcome for the the Graf Spee. So, on LSH3, we made it. Blueduck worked over the whole thing, and made a really tough mission out of it. The plot: BfU managed to dispatch a Wolfsrudel in the Southern Atlantic. So Capt Langsdorff decided not to scuttle the ship, instead trying to force out.
If some Kaleus are interested to join us on LSH3, you are welcome.
