yup beat me too it...pandasoft's X file handler works reasonably well...i've made or rather edited a few of the stock ships to represent other vessels...made a brit sub for example...BUT haven't been able to get past a annoying texture glitch problem..
9 times out of ten the edited sub/ship appears perfectly in the game...but every now and then it just shows up without any texture on it ,,,as a "ghost" ship..a white shape.. also have had to simplify the structure of the model file as the exporter doesn't seem to collect multiparted models into the correct format for the game...BUT it has to be said i am NO expert ...by the way there is a spare sub slot available for model files.if you make a sub...
the

non player controlled..(simulation id)....ai only i assume i have used it in missions and it works,,,even tho there is no use of it in the stock missions or campaign
you can edit the nationality of the sub in the shipdata file...so it can be assigned as british and used that way etc.or add a new entry to the scene file and assign it to a new model file...you have to tidy a lot of loose ends when adding an entirely new model to the game...easiest way to start with is to replace some of the more generic vessels...or replace the american vessels and neutral ships with british ships editing their nationailty as you go...other wise you need to edit the collisions weapons etc files to add the new ships collision and weapon ids...

All the modding stuff was getting lost in that one thread.
I was wondering if there was a way to add Port models. :hmm:

Thanks, Horsa and CB! I've grabbed the tools off of Pandasoft's website. I'm interested in the interface, which can be X meshes.
