I've just "completed" a patrol and when I pull in to home port it refuses to let me end the mission, I get the refuel and the postpone option, like if I was at another port. I can remember hearing somthing about this before but I can't find anything in a search. How can I correct this.

Had something similar happen to me a while ago. I got a transfer to a nice new shiny Balao class that shipped me from Pearl to Brisbane. Went out on my patrol returned and nothing happened. I next went all the way back to Pearl and again nothing happened, next I tried Fremantle and was finally given the option to end my patrol. I thought that they were supposed to let you know about base changes. I guess I did a little more damage in those bars in Brisbane than I thought.

Well, I just went base-hopping, from Manila to Surabaya to Fremantle. On returning to Fremantle they threw a brick at me. Not even a note included, but I figured out from the strange patterns on the brick that I had to go to Brisbane. I picked up a new Sargo boat, and went on a wildly successful mission. On returning to Brisbane, they threw the same brick at me, and I just knew that meant I had to go to Fremantle.

It's getting tiresome.

Wrong thread, but now that I've tried to fix the problem following the instructions in "Trick to finding homeport" (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=113040) I can't open the careertrack.upc file. I would be grateful if someone could tell me what program opens it.
