999 pings ? version mismatch or not ?

Ok for the millionth time im wondering why no one plays online :) but never mind.
most if not all servers i see are running a ping of 999. they are all unjoinable.
so is this ppl playing with 1.1 or people trying to host who cant, because of router problems ?

and why is it seemingly so unpopular online? personally i enjoy it a lot, it is just so hard to get a game going.

well great " host quit msg" for the millionth time. its pathetic the game was shipped in this state. truly is pissing me off now.

I'm guessing it's people with router problems.I've tried starting countless games because I like playing in a pack but I guess opening all of the necessary ports does me no good since no one ever joins :-?.I tried Hamachi but couldn't get it working either and personally I would rather play games over UBI's server since you don't need to search through these forums looking for a channel that is populated.

If UBIsoft could release some realistic ports that would be nice because as of now I've tried the ones in the manual and some of the ones suggested on this forum and I have had no luck so far.

I'd say it's some kind of bug causing the 999 ping problem, sometimes I can host games just fine, other times I have a 999 ping & no one can join. And yep just for the record I am using a router & all the ports the game needs are forwarded & verified as open.

Hamachi on the other hand works fine so my brother & I use that instead of ubi's servers
