Unit Version Date Question

Ok so i use the Mission Editor alot but i have a question about the "Unit Version Date" question.

So the Mission is placed in September 1944 and i want to have updated ships, so i set the Unit Version date for 1944 but it always resets it to the orginal date, how do i keep it at 1944?

I think you need to set up the time filter prior to choosing your
mission units there for if you set your filter for start date 1/44 then
none of the units you select from the list will be before that date.

When i say Unit Version Date, heres the deal, I drag a unit onto the map and the unit properties box comes up.
The load out, the name, all that good stuff. Then i change the Entry date so that it appears on the map at the start of the mission, then there is a "Unit Version Date" option in the middle of the page, it has the month and year. When i change the year from 1938 to 1944, it works but then when i click onsomething else it automatically resets the year to 1938????

But if it say the Entry date is September 1st, 1944 then will it automatically make the Unit Version Date to be 1944?
