No problem I meant to do it earlier but got stuck playing SH4. lol, and by the way that photo was taken in the Pacific.

Brilliant stuff man, thanks for sharing. As I live in Germany (Frankfurt am Main) sort a smack in the middle of Deutschland...I need to go to Kiel "Marinegedenkstätte in Laboe" to see the "U-995 Typ VIIC", about 6-7 h drive to the north coast of Germany.
Planing a visit this summer. Vid is not from me, but cool all the same.

Yea I took a video of the Batfish, however my camera was goin low on batteries so I kinda ran araound really fast inside, and I slipped going up the conning tower ladder so it is not so good.

very nice pics!!! i was amazed at how nice it was inside! being beached and all like that.

here in hawaii they have the bowfin, it looks like it could sail tommorow it is in such upkeep. it is mostly still in the water even.

I was reading about the Batfish last night and how they picked up an enemies submarines radar with the Batfish's radar. I did not finish the reading though...I was tired:yep: I think they sunk the Japanese submarine. Cool pics!

Yes they sunk 3enemy subs within 3 days, and their captain won the Navy cross

Those engines are Fairbanks Morse-twin crank shaft-vertical drive-double piston engines! Very smooth running engines. 2 cycle on top of all that! :up: Dang near the same emergency engine on modern Nuke boats!

Have you been to the Wilhelm Bauer in Bremerhaven? Its on my list of places to visit.
