The most war patrols?

So I was looking online for some history of my in-game boat, the USS Gar, and I was quite surprised to see that she completed 15 war patrols from 1941 til the end of the war. Anybody know what boat holds the record for the most?

I was looking at uboat.net, and here is a link to the allied submarine list from WWII in case anybody else is curious.
