I had a pretty fun patrol last night. Tracked a small convoy and engages on of the warships. After 2 impacts with my torps i decided to dive deep and evade. Managed to shake all but one of the vessels. Maybe the others hadn't noticed me.Anyway, if the ship doing the chasing is faster than mu sub, what can i do tpo evade it. This guy gained on me really quick and depth charged me to oblivion.

You need to engage silent running and sneak away, speed is not the issue.

go silent, go deep (if you hear someone say your passing a thermal layer this is good, MUCH harder for them to detect you), When they're pingin you with sonar it's best to give them as little a profile as possible meaning keep your stern facing them (or bow if you must but preferrably stern), don't let them get a ping off the side of your boat. If the pursuer is good you may be maneuvering for a while to avoid his attacks but as long as you keep giving him as little as possible to go on you'll eventually be able to sneak away. For the most part you should stay silent and not go more than 4 kts. Sometimes to get out of their search pattern it's beneficial to get a short burst of speed for a few seconds but ONLY when you know their stern is facing you and personally I only go as high as Standard just long enough to give me a couple extra kts

Good luck.

I sometimes run FLANK as Im diving so they know the direction Im going in, cut to silent, then change rudder abit left or right.
Dropping decoys just as you engage silent and doing this course adjustment is even better.

When depth charges are being dropped, go flank speed and turn 90 degrees hard port or starboard and then drop back to slow shortly after the last depth charge explosion. The escorts' hydrophones are swamped by the explosions and they can't hear you.
