v1.5.0(.60) of the JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler is now available at my homepage - http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/products.html

Features
- Now supports different languages (see "Language packs" below)
- Added ability to open available mod folder(s) in Windows Explorer by double clicking or selecting and pressing "Enter"
- Removed ability to view mod documentation - use new explore feature instead
- Now enables multiple-selected mods in (correct) ascending order
- Added ability to refresh mods list by pressing F5
- Now can continue to use JSGME with the Help screen open
- Now re-focuses to existing JSGME if attempting to open a new instance
- Minor code enhancements

Please refer to JSGMEHelp.txt for more information.

Installation
This version comes with an easy installer. Simply run jsgme_setup.exe and select the root-folder of the game that you want to install it into (ie C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\) and it will do the rest, including creating a unique desktop icon if you choose.

Although recommended, you do not need to disable any mods before installing this update over the top of an existing version of JSGME.

Language packs
Download language packs from http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/products.html by clicking the available flag. Simply follow the installation instructions included in the language pack. Current languages available are: English (default - only d/l for translating purposes), French, German, Greek and Catalan. Spanish, Polish, (Brazilian) Portuguese and Galician are under development.

You can create your own language pack by d/l the English pack and translating to the language of your choice. If you create a new language pack, pls email it to me and I'll happily host it.

Note that if you want to use English you do not need to download any pack.

I would like to take opportunity to thank you again. I have 1.5 DL'd

As someone who has had occasion to repeatedly code a mod manually
I would just like to again express my appreciation of your contribution

we tend not to see just how much time you save us all.

time to spend playing modding or spending time with , oh what are those
things called again....................families.

Thanks JCones for this and all your other contributions that add to our fun
and take away some of our frustration.

we all owe you one.

I know its called the "silent Service" but sometimes you have to just raise a ruckus and thank those of you who make the game more enjoyable for all of the rest of us.

You are one of those people along with many other Modders who spend their time to imporve the game for all of us..

A very big

Thank you!!!!!

Welcome to Subsim Mate,

In your SH3 installation folder there is a folder called MODS. D/L & extract your mod into that folder then run the JSGME.exe and you will see the mod of your choice on the left side of the window. Click on it once then choose 'enable mod' this will activate the mod and move it to the right side of the window.

Welcome to SubSim, mate. :)

Have a look at Help files attached to JSGME. It's described there. Unpack your mod and move/copy the folder containing it into MODS folder that resides in your game installation folder. It's always best to read readmes attached to the mod (they shoulb be found in the "dosumentation" subfolder in the mod). Make sure the mod is prepared to use with JSGME (i.e. the structure of its files reflect the game's files structure).

After you place the mod in your MODS folder and launch JSGME, it should be visible in the "Available Mods" window.

PS. BTW: Polish translation of JSGME is available at the JoneSoft page. :)

Thanks for the links. For others .. Once you have installed the MOD installer simply create a file (with your required add-on) in the MODS folder. :D

Many, many thanks for your great application!

I cannot imagine using any mod without JSGME. This tool should come in the installation DVD from the game publisher(s) (and you could receive some money out of our great work)!

Hi Mr Scones,

Thanks for your continuing work on JSGME I would ask if JSGME will work with other games, lets say Medieval Total War 2 or Rome Total War, or Armed Assault etc.

Obviously I can try for myself but wondering if you have already tested it on any of these?

Got it and using it.

FYI - JS, you can now add another game that JSGME works with. IL2 Series. D'oh - you know I have IL-2 installed and never even tried it.

Also another game that JSGME works is the Football Manager Series. In FM2005, FM2006 and FM2007 JSGME can be used without any problem :yep:
