Oh even a reply. Thanks mate :)
Looks really good but how about performance? With all those polys my system would be at a standstill.

Looks really good but how about performance? With all those polys my system would be at a standstill. Nahhh not yet. Right now i get on a GeForce 3900 60fps. But this will change dramaticaly by the time :yep:
So yes sooner or later your system will come to a halt. Wait till i get one of my u-boat polymonsters into the scene.
Frankly i don't expect it to run on the low end specs. But any release date is still out of sight so you have planty of time to get a new rig ;)
I just thought ahead into the future.

Heeeeeyyyyy!! Hitman :)
Dude, where have you been for so long ? Ah your familie is growing :)
Ah yes unfortunately i missed chrismas a bit longer this year. I was increadebly busy this chrismas and everything got tight this year, couldn't make the update in time. But i had released the prototype internaly to the team at chrismas the first time and that was a big moment for everybody. The first light on the horizon after all this waiting. For a pre alpha it turned out to be quite fun. Have you tested it too, maybe ?
Anyway things comming alon steadily. Some new capeable guys have joined the team. The artwork shall progress faster now. I'm too more dedicated then ever.

I have been around here all the time, but mainly at the classics forum where I'm moderator and also at the SH4 forum, though I have posted very few in the last months.
My family expanded and all is going well, I have been very lucky to be transferred to my home city finally, so I have had some busy weeks with house moving and adapting to my new working place. But now everythings is settled, I have permanent high-speed internet connection, time to connect daily and post, and am here to stay, ready for action

Nope, who do I have to grease to put my dirty fingers on it? :ping: Uhh, right here (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=93827). I can't believe that you have missed it. You never visit the SL forum anymore ?
It's an older version though soon i will make an updated version available. It doesn't have much to offer right now, though. There is still no sound and no colision detection but manouvering is such a fun. So don't spoil the fun for you and just imagine the collisions and try to get out of the yard and return and berth again without scratching anything :ping:
In this version the thrust doesn't affect the rudders though so manouvering is much harder and some other essential things. But this is already available in the new version.
But i'm curious how you will like the first attempts of IUF to get the feets wet.
EDIT: Also read the manual and readme of the patch

Oh sorry Heinrich  Yes I knew the thread and I had followed it, but somehow the link remained unnoticed by me  It was posted during a period I was very irregular on the internet and probably when I came back I went straight to newer posts and missed that one....never mind.
Will feedback soon :sunny:

Deamon, maybe you could post a short movie of you moving about
I have no screen capture tool. Is there a free one somewhere maybe ?
I wanna see what it looks like
Oh it looks good :yep:
since I don't have access to that post  Sorry it's not public yet. It's just for the team and some other folks who are closer related to the project.
First, are you using Blitz3d?
If you are then you can use
CaptureWorld
Takes a snapshot of the position and orientation of each entity in the world.
If not, then go to www.fraps.com (http://www.fraps.com) and download the latest version. It can support Screenshots and Videos! It's free but it leaves a watermark, and later you can purchase it to get rid of the watermark if you want. Both Mike and I when we make our videos use Fraps the free version of it..
Shoot, CaptureWorld isn't for movies.. My bad, you learn something everyday, or somtimes 2, 3, 4, or more things as is the case for me more often than not :hmm:

Nope, i'm an OGREmaniac

Unfortunately it is only for WinXP i still run WinME and my XP comp is not operable yet. But later.
Is there an version somewhere maybe that runs on WinME ?
I'll take a look, not sure though.
Also back on my post in the indie forum I'll work something up for that.
Found one, http://www.irfanview.com/
Downloading it now and trying it for myself, I might like it more than FRAPS!

Phantastic !!!
Lets see what it's worth.
Ok, in a fast turn around I got my video out for my project in the Indie forum.
I'm still interested in getting my rudder corrected, just haven't had time to do anything yet! Mainly modelling, skinning, and placing the humans around.
Hopefully later today (it's 1:53am) I can get around to get my rudder working with your help, I'll let you know

Ok, see you then.
Tell me can irfanview screencapture movies or did i missunderstood here something ?
No, it doesn't.. It can save the images as a movie format, such as .avi, but it doesn't capture video. Sorry, I'll keep looking :hmm:

You mean you still can get your movie but have to capture it as images ?
Not sure to be honest.. Overall just looking for another video capture program.

This imperial u-boat game looks cool, but i have 1 question...what u-boat types are you going to use,now i havent a clue on ww1 warfare apart from trenches but will there be chances to hunt convoys or watch famous events like the german ships shelling england or one of them famous sea battles like jutland?:lurk:

what u-boat types are you going to use In the first release only one - S.M.U 1 -> in extrem good quality!
but will there be chances to hunt convoys or watch famous events like the german ships shelling england or one of them famous sea battles like jutland?:lurk: Not in the first release, which is intended as a pure u-boat trainer to help the player to take the expectant steap learning curve. Which also plays only in the prewar time but i intend to implement fleet manouvers for full tactical training. The second release which is supposed to feature a full war campaign and a new u-boat, will play most likely in the east sea only. There you should be able to encounter convoys and other stuff. Generaly expect high historical accuracy from the campaigns.
Shall the developement still continue then, you can expect to see(and do) the stuff you have mentioned. But stuff like coast shelling shall be possible in the east sea campaign too.
