Have you already tried to look into the Severodvinsk shipyard, thru the google map ? :D
I have found a link on the Net. And you can acctually see a very detailed satelite picture and recognize some submarines around the port.

I'm often quite amazed what you can find with Google. Just the other day I went looking for the Varyag which I heard is currently residing in the port of Dalian, China...

Google Earth/Maps is awesome for stuff like that... there is a whole forum dedicated to military installations in Google Earth.

I love cruising around in the former USSR, China, and NK looking for cool stuff.
Theres a cool placemark collection with over 600 visible shipwrecks, including old subs and stuff scattered around the SU.

Is that a little sub on the left next to the enormous ship? What kind of ship is that?

Thats a Kirov Class nuclear Battlecruiser... Probably the Peter Velikiy or Admiral Nakhimov.

Isnt it amazing how times change?
Not too long ago these are pictures that people were (literally) dying to get!
In the first picture of the Typhoon, is that a Russian Carrier next to it?

I like zooming around Norfolk (http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=36.958315,-76.32928&spn=0.005898,0.010064&t=k&om=1) and San Diego (http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=32.676621,-117.125207&spn=0.003107,0.005032&t=k&om=1)...
Fortunately, whenever the satellite photos were taken for those two spots, there happened to be some pretty impressive hardware in port that day/week/month for us to gawk at.
