I was browsing Ebay earlier today and found this rather interesting looking book:

http://tinyurl.com/8va84

Hundreds of illustrations, including dozens of drydock photos, general arrangements at 1:96 scale, larger-scale plan and isometric views of equipment ranging from armament, hatches, diving planes, bollards, periscope supports, etc., frame and station plans, camouflage schemes, longitudinal sections, and more!

:hmm: The covers are missing but it looks like everythings there. Starts at one cent. Anyone heard anything about this book before? Thanks for any answers! :D

I just noticed that it's up to $26, so it might not be quite an unbelieveable fantastic bargain anymore. :rotfl:

I ordered the book a few years ago directly from The Floating Drydock. If you want to know every technical detail, camo-schedule and modification on Gatos/Balao's', this is the book!
(104 pages, $ 39.95, ISBN: 0-94405-06-0).

Looks like the Gato/Balao book has been retitled "Fleet Submarines of WWII." Not sure if it's a reprint or a new book, but the author is the same....

A ton of interesting titles on that page.
