New version (2.0) of the mod is available for download on my site. Includes modified model (DAT) files, which allow for multiple skin usage, for C&D- and V&W-type destroyers, Clemson, Tribal, Hunt I, Type 34, Evarts and River escorts, Flower, and armed trawler along with multiple skin textures. These vessels are the most often used in the SCR layer of the stock campaign in the game. C&D-class DD now also carries DC racks starting year 1939. In addition, as a bonus I have included a multi-skinned C3 cargo.

A few examples can be seen on screenshorts below.

Plain grey skins for Clemson, Tribal, Evarts and River, respectively.

This new version looks great! I was wondering, though. In the readme it says you use Type941's all gray Type 34 skin. When I looked at the TGA files, all the skins were camo. Is the gray skin in the DAT file?

When installing after RUb 1.43 with JSGME, there's an overwrite warning for RUb file NDD_C&D.data.

What's a mother to do?! :doh:

Type941's skin can be found in the archive data\Sea\NDD_Type34 folder and is called NDD_Type34_T02.tga.

RUb is using my modified NDD_C&D.dat with DC racks as a part of Improved Convoys. If this is not mentioned in RUb's Readme than it is not good because it will be a source for confusion.

This mod includes the same NDD_C&D.dat with DC racks but with multiple-skin option.

Yes, if it is placed in the NTRW_ folder.

That would require respective changes of these ships DAT files. The naming convention is always the same: name of the DAT file + _TXX, where XX is a number.

Yes, when knowing what to do. :) But I did not do that because there are specific German Task force in the campaign's RND layer and one would not want Bismarck or Hipper appear there with an arbitrary skin.

Correct my when I'm wrong but was the C3 the only merchant where multi Skins didn't work?
Or is there still one left?

Correct.

Maybe. The mod was done for units which appear in significant amounts in the SCR campaign file thus making the multi-skin option meaningfull to apply. I felt there are too few Hunt II and Hunt III entries for that.

I'd like the see the tugboat as a multi-skin ship. One of my new tankers is based on this ship.
