Adds VLS to Los Angeles class Flight II and III. Plus an MK48 ADCAP torpedo.

Good stuff!

Quick question tho, can animation/moving parts be modded? It'd be cool to actually see the launch tube/cover being opened before launching.

3D model modding isn't allowed in this game unfortunately.

Would've loved to move the planes from the sail to the front of boat for a proper 688i visually otherwise. let alone adding animations!..

Hehe yes sir and thank you for the mod as well, I was a naval noob and didn't know what's what on a 688(i):oops:










will probably make an update after the un-beta 1.01 gets released. I foresee many future updates for this game!

Edit: nvm.. mod updated to b1.01

Yes, but only by itself as far as I have tested.
This mod doesn't play nice with the others, at least on my system.

Right now I'm running Cold Waters underwater visibility mod (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=5231) and RussianSubs (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=5234) (it has the 688i)
Along with Reshade 3.0.7 (https://reshade.me/) with this profile (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=231716).

Mods that add new subs usually are not "copy-paste compatible" with each other or even other mods this one included.
But it takes like 10 seconds of manual editing since it's all plain old simple .txt.

I'm not likely to update this further until CW has reached a state that offers more modding possibilities than just messing around with simple texts. - There are "complex" texts, like Flight Modelling of an aircraft that involves good understanding of game mechanics and aerodynamics, but what we have here is not.

Right now the mod maybe serves as a clean working VLS template for others that want to tinker a bit.

All I have is the SSN(X) Seattle Mod and that seems to sit in the Override folder adjacent to the Default folder. Works fine with 1.03.

With that in mind, I just downloaded to my desktop the FTII/FTIII mod, but I don't know where to extract it to.

Would be grateful for direction.

I am not sure what setting I am missing, but I see no videos on this forum. I have looked around for a video permissions setting, but not found one.

I see videos everywhere else (internet). A link, at this moment, would be very appreciated.

Maybe Gunners are not allowed...??

Are you signed in to SUBSIM?

Sorry to ask the obvious - but that is the only thing I can think of that may hide the videos from you :timeout:

I was, but logged out and restarted the PC and now am not. But, I still get the black. I re-logged into Steam and it is the same black placeholder.

Thanks for thinking on it, though.

If SaltyBeard's video has an URL, be great to get it. I am still having trouble with downloading Mods.

I think I've seen a picture of the Seawolf mod that has the correct flight III planes, can anyone incorporate that or am I just raving?

Now on 1.08C this mod breaks the campaigns and one can not start it. Just an FYI.

Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but the mod 'New Subs and More' has a Ohio class with VLS tubes and works perfectly with 1.08c.

[EDIT]:
Los Angeles class FLT III also have VLS tubes in this mod, so it has been merged. You get what you want + much more.

No, I don't think I have ever killed someone in X3 also because I never play online. I have played extensively X-Rebirth, the successor and only scratched the surface of X3 / AP.
