I got the boxed verion. It's nice to have physical disks which makes it easier to reinstall. Also, there have been less problems modwise with the boxed version. The one from Steam has had issues in the past relating to multiplayer and some mods. I recall at one point, the steam version would only let you play multiplayer with another Steam version due to some error.

The Steam version can be auto updated by Steam but you can simply download and install the update from the Sonalysts website too.

I bought both to see the difference, they're both pretty much identical.

However, I would recommend that you buy the boxed version, nice to have something physical that you can hold in your hands and have ready in case of problems.

Thanks guys, I'll check those places out. I really want to try this game. I wish more strategy type games would come out, both WWII and Modern. Another Harpoon style game would be cool and a WWII Atlantic Theater would be cool too.
