Why would you want the download version ?
I suppose it has some kind of activiation, so really what is the advantage of the digital version over the retail one ?
Considereing that the retail you can buy it for 20 $ + shipping and it includes a bonus dvd and has no kind of online activation nor copy protection software.
Really there is no reason to buy the download version or the steam version.
Some times I don't understand how people think.

Sometimes its the only way to get a game that is not published in one's country, Im afraid. That was almost the case with DW for me, luckily i mannaged to purchase it with a help of friend.
Btw, do the steam versions of games (and of course the navla pack) need online activation EVERY time you play, or the first time only? is it possible to DL, activate and then remove steam software?

You need steam running in the background to use the steam version of DW or of any other software sold (sorry I meant rented) on steam.
Its the nature of the beast.
No steam, no playing. ;)
If the game isn't available locally nor will ever be imported I think the best thing to do is buy it abroad thanks to the internet. The original poster is from spain, you bet that Strategy First ships to spain, for that matter they ship to the european union so for me thats a non problem.

It's the first time only for activation and as goldorak said you need to have steam running to play, but you can run it in off line mode if you want.

Its not about having problems witgh steam PD.
Its about giving up your right to own something that you purchased.

I've already made the mistake of selling Dangerous Waters once (I bought the original Battlefront release for $60+), and with Steam I don't have that option. It's automatically available on any computer I have with an internet connection (which, these days is...any computer I'm using). I can play it without being online as long as I've downloaded it. Steam is convenient for me in this case, and DW was dirt cheap on it. And running Steam in the background doesn't make a difference for DW, it's not like it requires a lot of horsepower.

I have just (like 10 minutes ago) bought the game on Steam. Why? Becuase I can have it now, this evening and because it was £5.50 rather than £10 + shipping the the UK.
