I noticed that many of the boards on this forum seem to be inundated with threads about historical, technical, and operational subjects that often don't pertain very closely to the main subject of the board. For example, the SH3 forum always has at least one or two threads going about real-life U-boat operations or something seemingly "mundane" like who built the batteries for the Type XXI. Perhaps a sub-forum devoted solely to "real life" topics might ease the clutter just a little bit.

I would love to see it, but it's probably a bad idea. No one would use it. Almost every day I see a new political question, or birthday announcement, or something else appearing on the SH3 or SH4 boards, and when I mention General Topics someone always says "Oh, I never read those. They're all politics."

Perhaps if posts that were deemed to be on the wrong board were moved by a mod accompanied with a polite reminder, then the message would eventually be understood :hmm:
