The standard way to play

Somebody mentioned the standard way to play in another topic(manual/auto)What is your standard setting?

I play with everything on manual, on all platforms except the frigate.
For the frigate TMA is on automatic, all the rest is on manual.

My strong preference is to play everything manual EXCEPT for Active Intercept, ESM, Radar, and FFG TMA.

Playing with those four stations on manual is just cruelty to yourself in my opinion. :)

P-3 / Helo : Radar and CM on Auto everything else on Manual
Subs : Radar, ESM, Active Intercept and TMA on Auto (you see im a noob there) everything else on Manual
FFG : Most of the stuff on Auto, except Sonar I think ... hardly play that platform.

My basic philosophy is to let the AC handle "mechanical" tasks that don't require any judgment. Active intercept and radar would fall into that category.

The stuff that should need a human doing, I do myself. Although I must admit that if aTMA is enabled in the match, I will probably use it so as not to put myself at a disadvantage. I'll still do manual solutions on contacts of interest to see if I agree with the AC, though. Manual TMA matches are, unfortunately, hard to come by.

Similar to ML. I play with everything manual except ESM, RADAR, MAD, active intercept, etc. TMA I switch back and forth as the situation requires. If it's a high-traffic area with lots of neutrals or if I'm taking evasive action I will let the computer take over TMA.

And i never play the FFG, P3 and Seahawk copter as I play just for the sub platforms.
imo FFG is the hardest platform to master. Ive never been on online play b4 i'm sure it would be a blast with the various platform.
