I found that the game is not so enjoyable when playing at almost 100% manual crew.
But then when i set for auto sensor and TMA the game AI gives me rubbish contact(mirror contact as valid contact) so it's ruining my game.
Anyone knows why the auto TMA is giving me rubbish contacts when even i have turned the sub heading sufficiently so that the mirror contact would shows.

aTMA will eventually notice bogus contacts and drop them. If you think you can do the job more quickly yourself....then you should!

Well i can but the manual TMA updating for numerous contacts. Feels like rushin a project deadline which is due last week:doh:.
One solution i found is to handle the sonar manually and let the TMA set on auto...perhaps this is the best solution

That's the "standard" way to play for most people.

It would be nice if you could set up some kind of contact triage like we have in real life. I would prefer to be able to set auto-TMA on individual contacts while tracking the important ones myself.
IRL we generally have two guys running the CCS; one takes the contact of interest and the other takes all of the rest. This makes a lot more sense to me and would make the game more enjoyable.

I never found it that difficult to switch aTMA off, update my contact of interest manually, then switch it back on to continue processing the other contacts.

Wouldn't this get your contact of interest updated by the auto TMA too?
sometimes the auto TMA solution is quite a bit off the actual position then a minute or two later it's about right on the target. The auto TMA doesn't seem to take in historical TMA plotting into account(it doesn't use logic).

Yes, but if it disagrees with me, I'll still know where my solution was...it is my contact of interest after all, so I am paying attention to it.
