Trotter deep in Dangerous Waters!
I enjoy a good warplane simulation but it's always mystified me why the market share for good
naval sims is so miniscule by comparison.
I recently got a tantalizing look at an alpha build of Sonalysts Combat Simuations'
Dangerous Waters. To read my full impression, get your copy of the July issue of
PC Gamer magazine on sale now.

Cold Mountain" Re-enactment and Book Signing!
April
I cordially invite you to enjoy "The Cold Mountain Living History Weekend and Candlelight Tour", next weekend (April 23-25). It’s spring time in the North Carolina mountains, and a perfect chance to see one of God’s happier inspirations as a landscape-designer, as well as a colorful weekend-long encampment by a large contingent of Civil War re-enactors, excursions to the eponymous "mountain".

Cold Mountain" Re-enactment and Book Signing!
I’m disgracefully late in getting this on the site, but if you live within driving distance of the very pleasant town of Waynesville, N.C., I cordially invite you to enjoy "The Cold Mountain Living History Weekend and Candlelight Tour", next weekend (April 23-25). It’s spring time in the North Carolina mountains, and a perfect chance to see one of God’s happier inspirations as a landscape-designer, as well as a colorful weekend-long encampment by a large contingent of Civil War re-enactors, excursions to the eponymous "mountain", a candle-light tour of the area’s historical sites, lively street-fest entertainment, arts-n-crafts, great food, extraordinarily nice people…
And on Saturday, from 1:30 – 3:30, yours truly will be signing books and giving a readings (if enough folks are interested) and generally having a good time chatting and answering questions, etc. The location for the signing is:
THE WAYNESVILLE BOOK CO.
(A very fine independent bookshop – come and browse!)
Stop the presses!!
Today is April 27, and I’d like to comment on the Waynesville event. By all means, DO visit this lovely town if you’re ever driving the Blue Ridge Parkway south of Asheville. I’ve rarely encountered such friendliness and good cheer from so many folks.
