This would be good from 1:45 or so, as the apes awaken, and they see the monolith,

which in our vid would be a giant Almanac. I can supply a high res image of the Almanac

 Superimpose the Almanac cover over the monolith

 We don't need 5 minutes of monkeys touching the monolith, maybe just a few seconds.

Jump to 4:12 and with the sun over the Almanac,

then the video could change, cue up the 2001 music, and show the Almanac in space, stationary, with stars behind, and from behind it would come old subsim game boxes, screenshots, quotes from review, quotes from game devs who have mentioned Subsim,
 

text shorts of some Subsim events such as the Drebbel trial, Bernard, GWX, Projekt Messerwetzer, Wolfpack League, etc.... these images and text could come from behind the Almanac cover and sort of fly off the screen...
